SYNGENTA CHAIR
The aim of the Chair is training, research, knowledge transfer, and the dissemination of research activities in the field of improving the application of phytosanitary products.
OBJETIVOS
Training
To promote excellence in education through postgraduate programs, elective courses, and complementary activities for undergraduate and master’s degrees. To offer predoctoral and postdoctoral scholarships to foster research and academic development. To establish educational cooperation agreements with institutions and companies. To reward the best final degree projects in order to encourage innovation and talent.
Research
To lead joint research projects at the Catalan, Spanish, and European levels, focused on phytosanitary products, environmental studies, and sustainability. To promote the development of doctoral theses that contribute to advancing knowledge in the field of sustainable agriculture. To organize expert meetings to share knowledge and experiences on topics of interest.
Knowledge Transfer
To transform research results into practical applications through patents and market-ready solutions. To disseminate research findings through scientific publications and technological events. To foster collaboration between universities and industry to improve the application of sustainable agricultural technologies.
Dissemination of Research Activities
To disseminate research advances and results through workshops, seminars, and conferences. To promote awareness of the importance of sustainability in agriculture among the general public and sector professionals. To facilitate access to the information and knowledge generated by the Chair through publications and online resources.

Monitoring Committee
The Syngenta-UPC Chair has a Monitoring Committee composed of four members: two representatives from Syngenta and two representatives from UPC.
